Venezuela is located at the northern edge of South America.  It is easily accessed from the U.S. on major airlines, a short 3 hour trip from Miami, 5 hours from New York and 5 1/2 hours from Dallas or Houston.

Since Venezuela is located near to the equator, it doesn't experience four seasons.   Instead, it has two climatic seasons, wet and dry.  The temperatures vary significantly as elevation changes across the country.  The coast and island areas are very hot and humid and the western areas can have significant amounts of snow as you climb into the Andes mountains.
